Nearly 80% of double 11’s goods are not cheap. Consumers Association: the situation of random bid price is outstanding
Nearly 80% of "double 11" goods are not cheap
China Consumers Association: The situation of price increase first and then price reduction, fictional "original price" and random price marking is outstanding.
"double 11" did "Raiders" 10 days in advance and stayed at the computer in the middle of the night, but is the product you bought back really the "lowest price"? Yesterday, the "double 11 Online Shopping Commodity Price Tracking in 2017" released by China Consumers Association showed that it was more prominent to raise the price first and then lower the price, fabricate the "original price" and randomly mark the price. Of the 539 non-pre-sale price tracking products, 78.1% of the promotional products are not cheap, that is to say, these products can be bought at the price of "double 11" or lower on November 11th. Compared with the same period in 2016, this proportion has increased.
Pre-sale goods are suspected of fictional "original price"
This price tracking survey experience involves 16 online shopping platforms, and a total of 668 products are selected, involving 9 categories such as clothing, shoes, hats, digital mobile phones, food specialties, cosmetics and care. Commodities are divided into domestic and imported categories, both pre-sale and non-pre-sale.
The price of pre-sale commodities is relatively standardized, but it is also found that there are price problems in four commodities.
First, it is suspected of fictional "original price" in the form of "crossed price". For example, on an e-commerce platform, the marked price of a brand sweater named "Hengyuanxiang" was 508 yuan on November 10th, 12th and 15th, but the marked price was adjusted to 1280 yuan on November 11th. Moreover, this counter price was only displayed on the product page on November 11, and did not appear continuously.
Second, the pre-sale price is not as favorable as that of "double 11" on that day. On November 7th and 10th, the pre-sale price of a one-shoulder messenger bag with the brand "Coach" on an e-commerce platform was 1,068 yuan, and the activity was "99 yuan deducts 150 yuan from the deposit", which was converted into 1,017 yuan. However, on November 11th, the discount price was 968 yuan for each full 400 yuan, and the promotion price was 999 yuan on November 12th.
Third, the pre-sale price changes frequently. The pre-sale price of a brand projector labeled "Shenhua" on an e-commerce platform is 2999 yuan on November 7th, with the deposit of 50 yuan deducted from 450 yuan, and the converted price is 2599 yuan; the pre-sale price on November 10th is 2799 yuan, and the deposit of 50 yuan deducted from 450 yuan, and the converted price is 2399 yuan, and the activity price on November 11th is 2599 yuan.
Fourth, the deposit changes at will. On October 26th, an e-commerce platform marked "Zote" brand double bed was marked with the deposit ("JD.COM price") as 100 yuan, and on November 7th, the deposit was changed from 100 yuan to 50 yuan.
The price of some commodities "double 11" has risen instead of falling.
The investigation experience shows that in this year’s "double 11" promotion activities, the rules of some platforms and merchants’ preferential activities are complicated, such as discounts, full discounts, red envelopes, coupons, allowances and other "preferential" ways are superimposed, and various restrictions and use orders are attached. The promotion rules are obscure, so it is difficult for consumers to calculate the actual sales price of goods, which reduces the online shopping consumption experience of consumers.
According to the statistical results of price tracking survey experience, 78.1% of 539 non-pre-sold goods can be purchased at the price of "double 11" or lower on November 11th, and some products of platforms and merchants have problems such as price increase first and then price decrease, and "double 11" price rises instead of falling.
For example, the price of a brand of women’s clothing named "Handu Yishe" on Dangdang was 152 yuan before November 7, but the price was raised to 288 yuan on November 10 and dropped to 136 yuan on November 11, which was suspected of inducing consumption through false discounts. On November 7th, the price of a brand pastry labeled "Liangpin Shop" was 29.9 yuan, but during the "double 11" period, the page price rose to 79.9 yuan, and the discount activity was 50 yuan less than 50 yuan, and the converted price was 29.9 yuan.
The price of a bedding brand named "Boyang Home Textiles" on JD.COM Platform fluctuated. The lowest price before "double 11" was 229 yuan, and then the price was raised to 379 yuan. The price of "double 11" was lowered to 249 yuan, still higher than the previous lowest price in 20 yuan. On October 29th, the price of a certain brand BB cream labeled as "missha" was 79 yuan (84 yuan, with a price of over 60 minus 5), but in "double 11", the price was raised to 109 yuan, which was even more expensive.
The group purchase price of a certain brand snack food named "Yibang" on Beibei Platform before double 11 was 13.9 yuan, and the group purchase price increased to 16.9 yuan during double 11. The group purchase price of a certain brand cosmetic named "meifubao" before "double 11" was 188 yuan, and the group purchase price rose to 229 yuan during "double 11". On October 22nd, 23rd, 26th and 1st of November, the group purchase price of a certain brand of cosmetics named "Mentholatum" was 76.6 yuan, and it was raised to 85.5 yuan during the period of "double 11" after November 4th.
I bought a brand food named "Plum Blossom" double 11 on the online platform. The price was 99 yuan before, and the price was adjusted to 129 yuan on November 11th. On October 22nd, the price of luggage case, a brand named "Mei Lv" of Netease Koala, was 359 yuan, and on November 11th, the price rose to 649 yuan. Before double 11, the price of a brand sweater named "Frank Monkey" on Amazon platform was 53.1 yuan (excluding freight), and during double 11, the price rose to 109 yuan (over 99 yuan free of freight), with a large increase.
China Consumers Association: Price misleading behavior should be punished according to law.
China Consumers Association said that compared with the same period in 2016, the price tracking situation not only increased the number of suspected price violations, but also reduced the online shopping consumption experience of consumers due to the complicated price calculation methods and promotion rules of some platforms and businesses. In this regard, China Consumers Association suggested that relevant departments improve the online shopping price supervision system and punish price misleading behavior according to law. For example, serious price violations will be included in the "blacklist" of dishonesty and publicized for the convenience of consumers. At the same time, strengthen the price management of platform commodities and implement the responsibility of honest and trustworthy management. It is suggested that e-commerce platforms and businesses should operate in good faith according to law, not engage in promotional gimmicks and misleading prices, and use concise price promotion expressions to really benefit consumers; The platform side should strengthen management, establish and improve the price monitoring mechanism during centralized promotion, and use technical means to prevent illegal price adjustment behaviors of unscrupulous merchants. Actively fulfill the platform obligations, closely cooperate with relevant government departments, industry associations and social organizations, and do a good job in price supervision and inspection.
In addition, consumers should also cultivate good price awareness and insist on smart and rational consumption. Make a purchase plan according to your own needs, pay attention to commodity prices in advance, and avoid impulsive consumption and unnecessary waste. (Beijing Morning Post reporter Chen Lin)
