According to Taiwan media reports, on the 25th, the China Cross-Strait Marriage Coordination Promotion Association and other groups took many mainland spouses to Taiwan’s "Immigration Department" to protest. They accused the Taiwan authorities of deliberately making things difficult during the "interview" and identified many land matches as "fake marriages", thus revoking the long-term residence qualification of land matches and breaking up cross-strait marriages. They asked the Taiwan authorities to revise the unreasonable "interview" system and attach importance to the situation of Lu Pei.

According to Taiwan’s "China Central Radio" news network, on 25th, Taiwan’s "New Immigrants’ Labor Rights Promotion Association", China Cross-Strait Marriage Coordination Promotion Association, Taiwan Province New Residents Development Association and other organizations took many mainland spouses to Taiwan’s "Immigration Department" to protest.
They accused the Taiwan authorities of receiving many cases of land matching recently, and questioned that the interviewer of the "Immigration Department" deliberately made things difficult, even ignored the facts, judged "real marriage" as "fake marriage" and broke up cross-strait marriage.
据了解，目前大陆配偶想要获得在台合法身份，手续极其严苛。陆配在由依亲居留转为长期居留，或从长期居留转为领取身份证时，都需要接受“移民署”官员面谈。如果面谈没有通过，陆配可能会遭遣返。
报道称，2003年，民进党政府开始通过“面谈”制度，拆散陆配家庭。直到2008年在相关团体和两岸机构呼吁下，当局允许误判案件以个案方式纠正解决，情况才有所缓解。
台劳动人权协会执行长王娟萍指出，到了2016年，台湾政党再轮替后，面谈不通过的比率、误判的状况很严重，这反映在各个陆配团体所接收的个案案量上。
王娟萍强调，有太多“真结婚”因为面谈而被判断为“假结婚”，造成许多家庭被拆散。她直言说，“面谈制度竟变成拆散两岸婚姻的手段，这非常不人道。”

新移民劳动权益促进会会长刘茜表示，她接到不少跟面谈有关的个案。有些家庭的陆配一方面必须以超时劳动负担沉重生计，另一方面又必须照顾家中弱势的另一半。她批评说，台当局在陆配承受内外压力煎熬之下，还要给予“面谈后遣返”的打击。

Zhong Jinming, president of the China Cross-Strait Marriage Coordination Promotion Association, said that some mainland sisters were judged as "fake marriages" because they were engaged in massage work for a long time or even at night in the health center, but they only relied on their own work to improve their economic ability, but they were distorted by the Immigration Department, saying that they had no work facts and no living facts, so they were "fake marriages".
Zhong Jinming believes that since Taiwan’s "Immigration Department" wants to use interviews as the only means to judge whether a marriage is true or false, "it should be handled more cautiously in procedure."
In this regard, Taiwan’s "Immigration Department" officials came forward to accept the complaint, saying that these cases are biased against specific occupations, and the pre-interview training of interviewers will be strengthened and improved in the future.
Taiwan’s "Immigration Department" also said that it will provide assistance as much as possible, but it will also strictly enforce the law against illegal facts. In the future, it will not rule out adopting the demands of land-based groups and setting up an interview complaint line or a single window to help land-based organizations solve problems.
