Lanzhou, Jan. 1 (Reporter Feng Zhijun) Since Jan. 1, the new ticketing policy has been implemented in Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes, a world cultural heritage. The online real-name reservation ticket purchase system and real-name ticket inspection access system have been implemented for Mogao Grottoes, and the single-day tourist reception quota of Mogao Grottoes has been strictly implemented (6,000 A tickets/day and 12,000 B tickets/day). Different from the past, 12,000 B tickets will be sold online in a single day.
The reporter learned from Dunhuang Research Institute on the 1st that in order to do a good job in the opening of the Mogao Grottoes in 2020 and facilitate tourists and travel agencies to make visit plans, on the basis of implementing the online real-name reservation system for all Class A tickets, the online real-name reservation system for all Class B tickets will be implemented in 2020, and both Class A and Class B tickets can be reserved online 30 days in advance.
According to reports, Class A tickets need to be checked by the "Mogao Grottoes Ticket Information Sheet" and my valid ID card. Class B tickets are fully subject to the time-sharing reservation system. Visitors must arrive at the designated waiting area of Class B tickets in Mogao Grottoes Digital Exhibition Center half an hour in advance according to the reservation time, and check in through face recognition with the second-generation ID card and the QR code of online ticket purchase.
Dunhuang Research Institute said that in order to prevent illegal acts such as ticket hoarding and scalping, and to maintain the order of ticket purchase and the fairness and order of the tourism market, all tickets reserved for purchase through the Internet or mobile phones only support the return of tickets, not the change of tickets. If you want to continue to visit after returning the ticket, you must make a new reservation to buy tickets.
According to statistics, in 2019, the number of tourists received by Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes reached 2.15 million, an increase of 10% over the previous year.
In 2020, the open caves of Mogao Grottoes will include 40 normal open caves, 20 adjustment caves and 11 special caves. In addition, the content of the cultural research course in Mogao Grottoes will be more abundant, and the experience project will be completely upgraded.
Dunhuang Research Institute reminds tourists to pay close attention to the opening dynamics of the Mogao Grottoes and reserve tickets in advance, so as not to affect the visit schedule because of the ticket quota, and appeals to tourists to travel rationally and travel at different peaks. Travel agencies actively guide the tourism team to choose the Yulin Grottoes in Guazhou and the West Thousand Buddha Cave in Dunhuang to divert tourists and relieve the reception pressure of the Mogao Grottoes.
As the largest and richest Buddhist art shrine in the world, Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes are precious and fragile, which not only faces the threat of diseases, but also poses a threat to the ancient grottoes when a large number of tourists visit them in a certain period of time.
After years of scientific argumentation, Dunhuang Research Institute launched a new tourism opening model of Mogao Grottoes in August 2014 to solve the contradiction between the increasing number of tourists and the protection of Mogao Grottoes. In recent years, the hospital has strictly implemented the upper limit of 6,000 passengers per day and 12,000 class B tickets to regulate the passenger flow.
