You don’t need to provide COVID-19 negative certificate when you enter Korea, but you need to receive nucleic acid testing within one day.
On September 2nd, the South Korean government said that it would no longer check the COVID-19 negative certificate of passengers entering South Korea from 0: 00 local time on the 3rd (23: 00 Beijing time on the 2nd), but they still need to undergo nucleic acid testing within one day after their entry.
Yonhap News Agency reported on the 2nd that the Korean epidemic prevention department had previously stipulated that all entry personnel must have a negative report of Covid-19 nucleic acid test issued within 48 hours before entry, or a negative report of rapid antigen test issued within 24 hours before entry. However, since 0: 00 on the 3rd, when entering the country from the port or airport, no matter where the passengers come from or whether they are vaccinated, there is no need to show negative certificates.
The South Korean epidemic prevention department said that the purpose of maintaining post-entry inspection measures is to prevent COVID-19’s new mutant strains from being imported into China.
