Shanxi Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention issued tips on prevention of infectious diseases in spring.
On March 28th, Shanxi Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention issued a reminder: among the common infectious diseases in spring, hand, foot and mouth disease, chickenpox and scarlet fever should be mainly prevented.
Hand, foot and mouth disease is the primary prevention for children in spring.
This is an acute infectious disease caused by enterovirus, which mostly occurs in children under 5 years old. There are many viruses that cause hand, foot and mouth disease, and EV71 virus is the main infection in severe cases. The initial symptoms are similar to colds, such as painless rashes or blisters on the palms, soles and buttocks, painful ulcers in the mouth, fever, dysphagia and loss of appetite. Because hand, foot and mouth disease is mainly transmitted through air (droplets), mouth and close contact, it is possible to be infected when touching towels, toys, tableware, bottles and bedding used by patients.
Spring is the season of high incidence of chickenpox.
Chickenpox is a highly contagious acute respiratory infectious disease, which is mainly transmitted by respiratory droplets and direct contact. It may also be infected by touching toys, bedding and towels contaminated by chickenpox virus. The main symptom is fever, and soon a rash appears in batches. The rash begins with a macula as big as a pink needle, turns into a papule within a few hours, and soon turns into a small blister herpes with a bulge of 2 mm to 5 mm.
Scarlet fever is also an acute respiratory infectious disease with high incidence in spring.
The main clinical symptoms are fever, sore throat, diffuse bright red rash and desquamation after rash. People are generally susceptible, and they may be re-infected after being infected with scarlet fever. Scarlet fever "likes" children under 8 years old, especially children aged 3 to 8 years old. Scarlet fever can occur all year round, especially in winter and spring. The carriers of group A beta hemolytic streptococcus and scarlet fever patients are the main sources of infection, especially patients with angina symptoms, who excrete a lot of bacteria when coughing, which is an important source of infection.
To cope with common infectious diseases in spring, preventive measures are the key. The public should always pay attention to the weather changes, increase or decrease clothes in time, and avoid the decline of body immunity caused by catching cold. Develop good personal hygiene habits, wash your hands in time before and after meals and after touching dirty things to avoid dirty hands touching your mouth, eyes and nose; Do not drink raw water, thoroughly clean fruits and vegetables, and do not share tableware; Cover your nose and mouth when sneezing and coughing, and wash your hands in time; Keep windows open and ventilated indoors. We should also pay attention to reasonable diet, do a good job in self-health monitoring, vaccinate on time, and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
