CCTV News:According to statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics, the national online retail sales in the first half of the year was 6.3 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.1%; Among them, the online retail sales of physical goods was 5.45 trillion yuan, up 5.6%, accounting for 25.9% of the total retail sales of social consumer goods, up 2.2 percentage points over the same period last year. The Ministry of Commerce held a regular press conference today (July 21). A spokesperson said that in the first half of the year, China’s online retail market stabilized and rebounded, showing a good recovery trend.
According to the monitoring of business big data, the sales of basic life and upgraded goods grew rapidly. In the first half of the year, the sales of online retail of grain, oil and food increased by 21.9% year-on-year; Sales of camping awnings, portable tables, chairs and beds and ski equipment increased by 331.8%, 123.1% and 72.7% respectively. Sales of energy-saving central air conditioners, energy-saving freezers and energy-saving water heaters increased by 124.0%, 33.8% and 27.2% respectively.
The growth rate of the central and northeastern regions continues to lead the country. In the first half of the year, the online retail sales in the central and northeastern regions increased by 8.1% and 4.7% respectively, which was 5 and 1.6 percentage points higher than the national growth rate, while the online retail sales in the western and eastern regions increased by 4.5% and 2.9% respectively.
Online service consumption is gradually picking up. In the first half of the year, online catering sales increased by 2.6% year-on-year. Among them, in-store catering and take-away sales increased by 14.2% and 0.8% respectively.
The new business model of e-commerce has maintained its vitality. In the first half of the year, the cumulative number of live broadcasts of e-commerce platforms monitored by business big data exceeded 60 million, the cumulative number of viewers exceeded 517 billion, and the number of live broadcast products exceeded 47.5 million.
